It is with much sadness that the East Anglian Brass Band Association reports the passing of Dianne Hastings on Thursday 8th November.

On Sunday 14th October the East Anglian Brass Band Association held its Annual Brass Training Day at the Hewett Academy, Norwich. Delegates from age 10 upwards had enrolled for the course.

On Sunday 7th May 2017 England’s number 1 brass band, the Brighouse & Rastrick Band, made a welcome return visit to St Andrew’s Hall at Norwich to perform the East Anglian Brass Band Association’s 79th Annual Gala Concert. This concert was performed in memory of Donald Palmer, a long standing Trustee of the Association who had given over 40 years service.

Just over one year ago the Association’s Secretary Dianne Hastings suffered a severe stroke. Recognising Dianne’s commitment and dedication, at their latest meeting the Executive Committee appointed Dianne Life Vice President of the Association and will be making a presentation and playing carols to her at her nursing home on Saturday 10th December.
